Parking in Porto

If it used to be a pain to find parking in Porto, now you can enjoy the city without going through the whole "parking mission". Porto is waiting for you. With Xtracars' tips, there are no excuses.

Rua dos Caldeireiros

Close to the Clérigos Tower and Avenida dos Aliados is Rua dos Caldeireiros. It's one of the examples where there are no parking meters in sight, a good place to park in Porto. Although not long, you'll find a parking space quickly. From here, you're a 10-minute walk from São Bento station.

Carolina Michaelis

For those who arrive early, the streets surrounding one of the city's most emblematic schools have free parking. With the metro and several bus stops right next door, getting to downtown Porto is a snap. Places may be scarce, but they do exist. Go early and secure yours. He who warns you is your friend.

City Park

Although paying parking lots are on the increase, there are still several free parking areas around the city's green lung. To get to the city center, you'll find several lines that take you there from Parque da Cidade. If, on the other hand, you want to go for a stroll around the Foz do Douro area, your car is also very well located.

Antas

In this traditionally residential area of Porto, there are still plenty of free parking spaces. In the streets parallel to Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra you'll find plenty of spaces available. And the best thing is that there are no parking meters.

Fontainhas

Privileged location and view. In Fontainhas, as well as a breathtaking view, you'll find plenty of places to park your car without paying. Located in downtown Porto, it's the perfect place for those who want to leave the car and see the charms of the city up close.

Parking in Lisbon

Lisbon is beautiful, but let's not lie, it's complicated when it comes to free parking. Don't worry, with Xtracars' tips finding parking in Lisbon is no longer an impossible mission.

Parque das Nações

In the center of Parque das Nações, you already know that parking is difficult to find. However, there are interesting alternatives very close to public transport. Near Sacavém station there are free parking lots where you can leave your car and then take the train or bus to the city center. You can leave your car near the Parque do Rio urbanization, which is at the end of Via do Oriente and Passeio dos Heróis do Mar, in a south-north direction.

Santa Apolónia/Penha de França

On the way to Parque das Nações, next to the waterfront you'll find Santa Apolónia station and then the Penha de França neighborhood. Here, if you're not one of the first to arrive, you won't have a seat. We suggest that you arrive at one of these places between 7.45 and 8.45. If these options fail, Olaias, Xabregas, Beato, and Marvila may be other solutions around. You can take advantage of the free parking lots near the Olaias metro station.

Alcântara

There are plenty of free parking lots in the streets and avenues near the LX Factory and the Carris Museum. In the streets parallel to Rua de Camões, you can easily find free parking. If you can't find it as soon as you arrive, you'll have a space in 5-10 minutes. Xtracars guarantee. Of course, these tips only work if you go early. We recommend that you go between 8.45 and 9.15 when the locals go to work.

Belém/Ajuda

We already know that Belém is a risky option for parking, but on the streets that go up to Ajuda or Restelo, you'll find spaces available. Although you'll find your spot, we warn you against long queues and keeping your car in the sun. On a positive note: the area is well served by public transport so you won't be short of trains and buses.

Benfica

It's a little further away from the center, but that's no reason to leave it off this list of parking lots in Lisbon. After all, there's plenty of public transport to catch from here. Whichever area of Benfica you're in, you'll find free spaces, even at the gates of Benfica. And here, you have the train station right next door.
